We had a great webinar on October 1st with over 45 therapists participating. You can now purchase the recorded webinar!
Most physical, occupational and speech therapists do not just retire, and stop practicing. Many, especially those over 45, begin to shift and attempt to “adjust” what they do, especially if it is direct patient services. This is fueled in part, by a combination of living longer, the fear of outliving retirement savings, and the need for all of us to to sock away more for later. Therapists start to think of “what else” they can do outside of direct treatment. For therapists who have “brick and mortar” private practices the path often leads to selling a private practice, either as a direct acquisition or a structured buy in. For other therapists, those who are self employed as solo practitioners, the path post 50 years is less clear, and options for shifts in gainful engagements are not as clear cut. Time is our personal currency and there are ways to maximize our worth. Lets go from “I’m too old for this to I’m too wise for this”!
The goal of this 2 hour webinar is to explore concrete options, action plans and strategies to establish:
- Gradual exit plans
- Ways to determine if what you have established professionally can be monetized and is salable, utilizing Rob Ryan’s one page “sunflower model”
- Options for teaching, or management positions
Cross “training” – application of therapy skills to other professions and industries
Streamlining a 20-30 year resume – making your age and experience an asset not a liability
Capitalizing on compounded years of networking and connections
Cross generational networking with the millennials
Fee includes all material, powerpoint and access to recording 24/7/365. Upon completion you will be eligible for a 2 hour certificate of participation.
