This is a highly regarded and well established private occupational therapy practice in a very family oriented community in Rockland County, with patients being local to the community as well as coming from surrounding areas based on recommendations. The practice has no marketing budget or website and is very busy purely based on word of mouth referrals among health care and academic professionals,  former and current patients. The practice is located on the ground floor in a  fully and newly renovated and equipped  1800 square feet office.  It includes  an open gym area with over 30 hooks for suspension equipment.  Other rooms include a large kitchen and arts and crafts room, 4 treatment rooms, a staff office, waiting room, a sitting area for private meetings, and an 800 square foot large separate office next to the main clinic. While there is an ADA accessible bathroom next to the clinic and shared by the office building, there is also a private bathroom in the clinic. The lease is reasonable, transferable and renewable.

The majority of clients are between the ages of 4 and 10 years of age with diagnosis including autism, sensory processing disorder, gross and fine motor delays, hand writing difficulties, emotional deregulation, anxiety, oppositional defiant disorder, multiple types of syndromes, developmental disabilities, executive functioning, and learning challenges. Most of the treatment is done in the clinic, although the practice does have a longstanding school contract which runs through 2024. The practice is an active participant in the Fidelis Medicaid Managed Care plan, and is otherwise a cash OON provider.  There are other health professionals including a speech pathologist and a social worker who rent space, offset operating costs and participate in ongoing collaboration and cross referrals.

The practice offers 1:1 therapy including DIR/Floortime. Prior to COVID, the practice was doing up to 150 sessions a week with 20 new referrals monthly. Often, there was a wait list.
