Part or Full Time Community Based Pediatric Occupational Therapy Position In Portland Oregon

Sensory Seeds is a growing Pediatric OT practice in Portland, Oregon, created to help children make progress from the inside-out; directly working with parents, caregivers, and children within their natural environments. Sensory Seeds’ model prioritizes parent and interdisciplinary consultation, with a strong focus on self-regulation and emotional regulation intervention techniques. Services are provided in the client’s private home, care centers, or community locations. Sensory Seeds’ model has a strong focus on individuality, parent collaboration, and intervention creativity. The children currently being seen range from ages 3-10 years old and typically have a diagnosis of ADHD, Autism, Anxiety, or Sensory Processing Disorder. No more rushed, 5-minute conversations with parents at the end of the session!

Sensory Seeds is owned by Laura Mascola, M.S., OTR/L who is ready to expand her team! She has a compassionate approach and strives to empower parents to understand and support their child. She is looking for 1-2 therapists who desire to have a strong work-life balance, create their own schedule, have lower caseload numbers, and high intervention impact.  Salary is commensurate with experience.

Qualifications:

·      3 years’ experience as an Occupational Therapist in pediatrics
·      Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy
·      Oregon Occupational Therapy License
·      Excellent time-management and communication skills
·      Strong ethical standards and professional boundaries

Responsibilities:

·      Evaluate children ages 0-18 and when appropriate develop treatment plans
·      Provide thorough caregiver consultation virtually and in-person
·      Communicate and collaborate with the client’s interdisciplinary team
·      Complete evaluations, daily notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries with insurance and licensure requirements
