Gowanus Treehouse is a long established and highly regarded private occupational therapy practice in Brooklyn NY. In addition to serving their immediate community they have expanded their efforts to offer therapy services in other underserved areas of Brooklyn and brought three sensory gyms in partnership with the local Early Childhood Development Center’s Head Start program (BSECDC) to Bedford-Stuyvesant. They are now setting our sights on expanding our impact internationally. Our sensory gyms provide specialized environments where children develop crucial motor, social, and self-regulation skills through structured equipment and activities designed for those with sensory processing needs and support the neurodiverse community.
In February 2025, Gowanus Treehouse will be joining the medical team at the Global Health Force, for their mission trip to the Philippines. Global Health Force (GHF) is a nonprofit organization seeking to provide health care to underserved communities addressing global healthcare challenges to make meaningful differences through the spirit of volunteerism. GHF connects U.S. based volunteers working with local partners to help achieve this goal, aligning with our commitment to extend our services to create sustainable environments that support people of all abilities and removing barriers to quality medical treatments.
We are seeking support to cover the expenses of allowing us to bring our experience in occupational therapy and creating therapeutic spaces to communities in the Philippines. Your contribution will help extend the impact we’ve made in Bed-Stuy to reach children and families across the globe. Thank you for considering supporting this expansion of their continued work.
