Overview – Due to the upcoming retirement of the practice owner after 40 years, this  well established and highly regarded adult outpatient speech therapy practice is available for sale. The practice is well known in its community and works with a variety of adult patients  including  those with disorders of swallowing, voice and resonance, cognition, head/neck cancer and degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease.  The practice owner currently  performs modified barium swallow studies at a local acute care hospital on an outpatient basis and is willing to help train the new owner. Historically, the  practice owners  partners with local  universities to offer graduate interns a unique internship where they can develop their skills with voice and swallowing.

The practice  is credentialed with most insurance companies incluidng Blue Cross/Blue Shield, United Health,Health Net, Partnership Health, Medi-cal and also accepts private pay. Typically the practice averages approximately 100 productive 1 hour long visits per month and has a waiting list that averages 25- 30 patients at any given time. Treatment sessions are both in person and via telehealth.  There are currently no staff members as the owner has been moving toward retirement and is the primary therapist.

Facilities and Location – The practice is currently housed in a home office where it has been for 2 years as the owner was in semi-retirement.  There is ample commercial space available in the vicinity of the practice, and the current owner understands that any sale is contingent upon the buyer finding suitable space.
